Primarily responsible for instructional preparation and teaching of the online Pharmacy Technician courses offered in the Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program.

Specific Duties:

Serve as Department Chair for the Pharmacy Technician Program.
Serve as Program Director for Regulatory Boards (State and/or Federal) and for applicable Accrediting Agencies.
Teach online Pharmacy Technician Courses including lecture and clinical practicum.
Oversee student progress and/or issues during pharmacy technician practicum.
Evaluate students' progress in the individual courses and program.
Utilize a variety of appropriate online teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking.
Develop and deliver instructional material consistent with course objectives and Pharmacy Technician Program requirements.
Actively participate in on-going professional development, including BHCC AIDE training in online and hybrid learning.
Maintain expertise and currency in the area of teaching responsibility.
Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Job Requirements:

Master's degree or equivalent combination of education, training or experience in compliance with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy's requirements.

Currently meet or be eligible to meet ONE of the following Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy's Instructor Requirements:

A Certified Pharmacy Technician who is licensed with the Board in good standing with a minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy practice; OR
A pharmacist licensed with the Board in good standing with a minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy practice; OR
A combination of instructors that are either pharmacists or Certified Pharmacy Technicians licensed with the Board in good standing with a minimum of two years' experience; OR
An instructor with a masters or doctorate degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in teaching college level pharmacy practice curriculum.
Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $68,192.00-$78, Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in

Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Position is for online teaching
