Job summary
This position is responsible for insuring the integrity and safe working condition of all shop and billboard mounted electrical components/systems.Responsibilities include installation and repair of wiring and conduit within the scope of the NEC (National Electrical Code), as well as maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment.
The ideal candidate should be able to set and program time clocks, plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of material, provide access for future maintenance, lock all disconnects when leaving sign,
and install equipment such as lighting fixtures, relays, ballast, breakers disconnects circuit breakers and fuses. Fasten in place with screws or bolts.
The electrician must also use the lock out tag out method,
identify any unsafe conditions observed,
Climbing and working at elevated heights in different weather conditions sitting walking standing speaking hearing reading kneeling lifting carrying a minimum 50 lbs multiple concurrent tasks frequent interruptions verbal written communication detailed work confidentiality.
