The City of Lathrop is seeking eligible candidates for the position of Junior Engineer.This entry-level engineering position involves learning to perform and performing professional engineering work in various areas such as design, evaluation, construction of streets and public works projects; prepares drawings specifications cost estimates reports review plans specifications accuracy completeness coordinates required advertising bids assists higher level engineers on large complex public works construction projects acts project management engineer small less complex construction projects interprets plots field survey data reviews laboratory tests materials performs field inspections reviews as-built plans ensure compliance original plans specifications meets architects developers provide preliminary review development concept design administers designs constructions contracts maintains logs tracks bond expiration dates prepares reports Finance Department collects inspection approvals prepares staff reports Council monitors progress assigned projects ensure compliance time schedules completion change orders reviews contractors estimates progress payments interprets codes regulations performance plan check activities calculates building valuation coordinates plan review process other departments agencies enforces City codes standards engineering projects addresses responds citizen concerns related problems.
