    OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois, the pediatric teaching affiliate of University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria, is conducting a national search to identify a new Chief of Pediatric Urology.

    The Chief will build upon an established and successful program previously ranked among the Top 30 in the country by the U.S.

    News and World Report.

    The incoming Chief will join two other Pediatric Urologists and will lead the further growth and development of the Division.

    The Chief will be able to leverage the institution's strong, established, urological and multidisciplinary clinical programs and opportunities to participate in clinical research.


    OSF Healthcare Children's Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) is a 144-bed, full-service children's hospital, with more than 145 pediatric specialists in 40+ subspecialties.

    Recognized as a regional leader, Children's Hospital is the first state designated Pediatric Critical Care Center, home to the only level IV neonatal intensive care center outside of Chicago and is the Regional Perinatal Care Center for Central Illinois.

    CHOI is also the first state designated Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in downstate Illinois.

    CHOI has 64 neonatal beds, 8 level II nursery beds, 32 pediatric critical care beds, 16 pediatric oncology beds and 16 general pediatric beds with a swing unit that allows for up to 29 additional pediatric patients during peak census.


    University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) is one of four regional campuses that make up the nation's largest public medical school and is part of a 900-bed hospital district which includes two major teaching hospital systems as well as the medical school.

    UICOMP's educational programs include 244 medical students and 300 residents/fellows in 21 different post graduate programs.

    The Peoria campus is the sponsoring institution of 13 ACGME-accredited residency programs and 8 ACGME-accredited fellowship training programs, with planning underway to add a Urology Residency program.

    The Chief will be eligible for a faculty appointment at UICOMP commensurate with experience.


    The successful Chief candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, clinical excellence, patient care, mentorship and education with an entrepreneurial mindset.

    MD, DO or equivalent, Board certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Urology (Pediatric Urology Fellowship Trained or Pediatric Subspecialty Certificate), and eligibility for licensure in the State of Illinois are required.
