- Leading the design of automatic fire alarm, detection, and suppression systems
- Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction
- Executing performance calculations, code review and analysis
- Mentoring less experienced staff in the execution of designs
- Conducting periodic construction site inspections
- Future responsibilities of this position could include leadership
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in fire protection, or mechanical, chemical, or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- 8+ years of relevant experience in fire suppression design experience
- Qualified FPE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
- Strong organizational and communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Experience with military projects
- Experience with aviation facilities
- Experience with food & beverage storage/cold storage/freezers/coolers
- Experience interacting with clients
- $120k-140k, depending on experience plus bonus opportunities
