    Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer at Eglin AFB, FL that provides support in application and execution of the following systems engineering technical and technical management processes: requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, V&V, transition, decision analysis, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management.

    The U.S. Air Force is developing a new LRSO nuclear missile.

    The service plans to field the LRSO by 2030 to replace the current, General Dynamics (now Raytheon) AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) that originally entered service in 1991.

    In May 2021, the Air Force awarded an Engineering and Manufacturing Design (EMD) contract to Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona.

    The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/ Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews.
    • Analyzes requirements, develops source material, consults engineering and technical staff.
    • Ensures adherence to specifications.
    • Knowledge of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and DD 1692
    • Knowledge of Request for Variance (RFV) and DD 1694
    • Generate and maintain program office Configuration Management policy and plans.
    • Ensure compliance with DoD Configuration management standards, policies, and processes.
    • Track approved changes from CCB disposition to implementation in the contract.
    • Responsible for organizing and conducting program office Configuration Control Boards with program leadership including the generation of meeting minutes. Job Requirements * Must be a U.S. Citizen * Must have an active SECRET DoD security clearance.
    • * Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance. Must maintain clearance at required level. * Must have Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. * Must have at least 3 to 10 or more years in related aerospace engineering experience. * Must be familiar with DoD Acquisition processes or project management professional principles. * Must have advanced programs experience.
