    Description

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required.

    Slices and pits fruit as required.

    Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.

    Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.


    Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.

    Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.

    Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos

    Promotes casino events and programs.

    Works closely with Players Club to promote new card sign up programs.

    Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar helpers, beverage supervisors, and casino supervisors.

    Provides personalized service and uses guest names.

    Resolve service problems according to guidelines.

    Takes food orders when working in the pub and delivers to guests.

    Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.

    Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.

    Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

    Attends all necessary training meetings.

    Assist in other projects, as directed.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

    Must be 21 years of age.

    Count money and change correctly.

    Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.

    Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

    Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.

    Must possess excellent communication skills.

    Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.

    Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.

    Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.

    Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

    Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.

    Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

    Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

    Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.

    Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.

    Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., pens, money, garnishes), bend, stoop and twist while preparing cocktails; stand and walk for up to four hours; able to use hand motions when preparing and pouring all types of drinks, and when cleaning and wiping bar areas

    Able to work in constricting areas.

    Able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded/noisy environment.


    Must have the physical ability to work in extreme weather as well as the ability to lift 75 lbs., to squat, stand or bend repeatedly.

    Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

    Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.


    Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
