Description

• Develop programs to produce machined parts on computer numerical control (CNC) mills, swiss/multiswiss lathes, routers, abrasive cutoff, bandsaws, tool presetters, assembly stations, and lasers
• Responsible for the production of precision machining and assembly equipment
• Assume responsibility and determine actions needed to ensure machines continue to produce during shifts
• Make tool offsets, change worn inserts and tooling
• Set up and maintain tooling for milling and lathe machines
• Design, maintain and reinforce safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Learn to reset/fix machine when specific alarm codes are indicated due to tool break or machine malfunction
• Read blueprints and produce parts to required specifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in operating and setting up CNC mills, swiss/multiswiss lathes, routers, abrasive cutoff, bandsaws, tool presetters, assembly stations, and lasers
• Solidworks experience
• MasterCAM or equivalent CAD/CAM Package experience
• Experience programming CNC Milling / Swiss CNC Machines
• Experience with multi axis CNC machines
• Familiarity with milling and turning tooling with knowledge of metal cutting parameters
