    Description

    Find your calling at MercyUtilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

    Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.

    Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patientDetails:

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure

    Licensure:
    Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements

    (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care ModulesBLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hireIV Certification within 1 year of hireOther unit-specific certifications as required.


    Physical Requirements:
    Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
    Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
