    Description

If you answered yes to these questions, then the Commission Processor position may be just what you are looking for Edina Realty is seeking a Commission Processor for our finance team.

    The Commission Processor computes and processes payment of agent commissions for the sale and closing of real estate transactions, handles accounting for earnest money deposits and cancellations, processes the recording and handling of cash for agent receivable and payable transactions and responds to inquiries from title companies, real estate brokers and Edina Realty branches.

    This role is a hybrid position working both in the office and remotely.


    Responsibilities:
    Accurate data entry of purchase agreement detail and validation of the automated commission computation.
    Coordinate wires of earnest money for scheduled closings.
    Issue earnest money refunds for cancelled real estate transactions.
    Review and reconcile the daily check register for accuracy prior to the release of payment for agent commissions.
    Prepare assigned journal entries.
    Complete billing, payment application and reconciliation of assigned agent receivable accounts.
    Reconciliation of assigned accounts and/or transactions.

    Thorough analysis and resolution of customer inquiries, i.e., Edina Realty branch, title companies or real estate brokersPerform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.


    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Associates in accounting preferredExperience:

    • Minimum of one year experience in accounting. Related industry experience helpful.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Problem solving abilities, attention to detail and able to meet deadlines.
    • Analytical; ability to calculate figures; discounts, interest, commissions and reconcile numbers.
    • Strong calculator and computer skills including Microsoft Excel; and working knowledge of computer-based accounting programs.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer-service focus.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
