In collaboration with Staff Nurse provides direct care to a specified group of patients which may include patient treatments, vital signs, collecting specimens, EKG's and catheter care and removal.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To assist the professional Registered Nurse staff with one or multiple patients as assigned and delegated by a Registered Nurse; in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care activities for the division of Patient Services of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants; children and adolescents.
To provide 1:1 direct observation and re-direction to patients presenting with an immediate safety concern including but not limited to suicidal ideation; flight risk; aggressive behavior; traumatic brain injury; removal of lines/drains/ airways; harmful to self; patients with social concerns; or to specifically monitor patient's with an External Cerebrospinal Ventricular Drain (EVD).
To provide support and appropriate intervention to patients classified as an Employee Safety Risk (ESR).REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
