    The Regulatory Affairs Specialist role involves the provision of a high level of regulatory expertise and guidance to the Arxada Industrial Microbial Control business unit. The successful Regulatory Affairs Specialist will support regulatory activities in the Americas, in collaboration with European and APAC Regulatory Affairs teams.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide Regulatory Affairs strategy and support to new product development projects, including preparation and submission of new product registration applications.
    • Manage projects to maintain product registrations including label revisions, EPA registration review responses, CSF updates, etc.
    • Ensure product compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
    • Support customer technical service projects that have an impact on business growth strategy and development of new business accounts.
    • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
    • Develop strategies to optimize the position of active substances and products in the market.
    • Obtain and maintain regulatory approvals and respond to regulatory challenges.
    • Construct complex scientific arguments as well as manage data gathering and compilation of studies (chemical, efficacy, toxicology) necessary for the submission and support of registrations in North America.
    • Participate in trade association and government agency meetings (US EPA, Canadian PMRA, etc.), representing Arxada.
    Key Requirements:
    • BS in Chemistry, MS in Chemistry preferred.
    • 5-10 plus years' experience in US FIFRA and Canadian PCPA biocide or pesticide regulations.
    • 5-10 years' experience in the chemical, agricultural industries highly preferred.
    • Demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and judgement when working with suppliers, customers and in task forces with competitors.
    • Analytical with excellent attention to detail and a technical background in chemistry, efficacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, or risk assessment methodologies.
    • Able to grasp new concepts quickly, assimilate/evaluate/summarize large volumes of complex scientific data.
    • Demonstrated analytical, planning and prioritization skills - particularly in a complex matrix environment.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • A strategic thinker with excellent networking skills who is able to able to negotiate both internally and externally - often at higher levels.
    • Naturally collaborative with a proven ability to partner and influence others at all levels of the organization.
