Responsibilities

• Instrument and Equipment Setup: Oversee the setup of instruments and equipment for each OR, utilizing preference cards and anticipating surgeons' needs.
• Case Coordination: Coordinate and oversee the OR during a case as the circulator.
• Effective Transition: Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Patient Care: Manage patients' care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
• Documentation: Consistently review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.

Requirements

• Nursing Degree: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Licensure: Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
• Certifications: Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable), ACLS as required by facility, and CNOR certification preferred.
