    As the Facilities Powerhouse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a cogeneration facility responsible for producing steam, hot water, electric power, and chilled water. Your role will involve managing a team, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing plant performance, and maintaining operational efficiency.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operations Oversight:

    • Supervise the daily operations to meet production targets
    • Implement best practices to maximize the efficiency and reliability of the plant's equipment

    Maintenance and Team Leadership:

    • Develop and manage maintenance programs (predictive, preventive, and corrective) to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
    • Lead and support a team of technicians and operators, ensuring proper training and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork

    Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards
    • Prepare regular reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and operational metrics

    Plant Budgeting:

    • Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation for cost-effective operations
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 8+ years of relevant experience
    • Prior supervisory/management experience in a cogeneration power plant or powerhouse setting
    • Experience with a variety of equipment crucial to the generation of steam, hot water, electric power, and chilled water (gas turbines, steam boilers, HRSG, chillers, pumps & valves, electrical switchgear, cooling towers, water treatment systems, instrumentation & control systems, etc.)
    • Education and Military experience may be considered in place of some required years of experience
    • Strong understanding of utility plant operations and associated equipment
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
