Description

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Analyst is an integral part of the planning, analysis, and reporting of BlueSky Bank.

This role provides critical decision support to the Blue Sky Bank Executive Management Team and Board of Directors.

Through key responsibilities including strategic planning, budgeting, liquidity management, and other critical financial processes, this individual must build relationships across the organization to ensure profitable utilization of resources including capital as well as provide insight to leadership via effective reporting and communication.

Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic planning, annual budget process.
Implement management reporting systems and processes to constantly improve financial information.
Manage the dynamic strategic plan, operating budget, and financial forecast. Produce rolling 24-month financial forecast.
Develop and prepare annual, quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial and KPI reporting for executives, board of directors, and regulators.
Analyze key business/financial KPIs, uncover trends, and assess risks and opportunities.

Support liquidity management for the bank by providing weekly cash flow sources/uses of funds, develop a liquidity plan and stress testing models.

Support capital management for the bank by providing monthly capital projections based on loan pipeline projections and deposit trends. Develop a capital plan and stress testing models.

Support the Asset/Liability Committee by developing quarterly interest rate risk models, ensuring adherence to bank policies and providing other required information for committee review.

Support Investment Committee by ensuring adherence to bank policies related to purchase of securities and review of the bank's securities portfolio.

Act as the subject matter expert in all things financial planning (forecasting, profitability analysis, liquidity management, capital planning, expense management and resource prioritization).

Leverage financial and business acumen to provide business support to key stakeholders.
Coordinate with Accounting and other bank functions to improve the outcomes and contribution of the Finance Team.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
4-year college degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of relevant work experience as a Financial Analyst at high growth companies, banking, or corporate finance.
