    Position: Robotics Software Engineer

    Location: Hybrid / Auburn / Sacramento

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Current Goals:

    -Refining and implementing Motion planning, Velocity controls, etc.

    -Teaming with our Hardware Engineer to create a more compact sized robot

    -Teaming with various contractors to help create and implement the ability to have OTA updates

    -Taking the existing framework of predefined movements and creating software to allow users to easily create custom a movement.

    -Integrating proximity sensors

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain software for our robotic systems, focusing on motion control, sensor integration, system optimization and future innovation.
    • Drive continuous improvement in our robotics control systems, leveraging ROS for robust and scalable solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance Glambot's capabilities in live event settings, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.
    • Develop and implement firmware and software solutions for new features and improvements, maintaining a proactive approach to safety and user experience.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to robotics software and firmware.
    • Contribute to the development and integration of sensors and actuators within our Glambot system, ensuring precise control and interaction.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven mastery in motion control, ROS, systems engineering, firmware development, and sensor integration.
    • A well-rounded flexible personality with a robust knowledge of robotics.
    • Solid programming skills in C++, Python, and other relevant languages.
    • Experience with robotic arms, controllers, and real-time operating systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and cutting-edge technologies.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

    Salary Range:

    $110,000 – $145,000 per year
