    Description

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:


    The Data Scientist will be involved in the analysis of unstructured and semi-structured data, including latent semantic indexing (LSI), entity identification and tagging, complex event processing (CEP), and the application of analysis algorithms on distributed, clustered, and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures.

    Exercises creativity in applying non-traditional approaches to large-scale analysis of unstructured data in support of high-value use cases visualized through multi-dimensional interfaces.

    The Data Scientist will handle processing and index requests against high-volume collections of data and high-velocity data streams and has the ability to make discoveries in the world of big data.

    The position requires strong technical and computational skills - engineering, physics, mathematics, coupled with the ability to code design, develop, and deploy sophisticated applications using advanced unstructured and semi-structured data analysis techniques and utilizing high-performance computing environments.

    Has the ability to utilize advance tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in complex data and deliver recommendations for business and analytic decisions.


    Skills focused on:

    Python, Data Engineering and Analysis, identification and tagging of data, AI/ML, database queries, synthesis of large datasets, data mining, statistical analysis, big data, automation, AWS, algorithm development, MS Excel, ability to work with a team to understand and support technical requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS,


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Required:
    TS/SCI with Poly Required
    BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2

    Focus areas for this position include:
    being well-versed in Python
    experience with AI and machine learning
    being able to perform database queries
    being well-versed in aggregating, cleaning, synthesizing large sets of data
    be able to implement automation and develop algorithms
    familiar with AWS
    able to utilize data presentation tools
