    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Brighter Days Mental Health Services located in Chester, VA. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages. This includes assessing and diagnosing mental health conditions, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, and providing therapeutic interventions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care for patients and support their overall mental well-being.

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Nursing specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health
    • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses
    • Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
    • Experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting
    • Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse caseload
    • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with mental health challenges
    • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in psychiatric care
