We are looking for a Full time CT Technologist to join our team

Responsibilities include:

Operates CT equipment as directed by Physicians utilizing routine protocols and procedures according to established standards.

• Determines proper technique to achieve optimal imaging with minimal patient exposure.
• Prior to beginning any procedure, identifies the patients utilizing the dept's two patient identifiers
• Positions and instructs patient regarding procedure.
• Shields patients and follows standard radiation safety practice
• Identifies pregnancy status and demonstrates proper pregnant patient management
• Uses proper immobilization and patient support devices
• Assures the quality of acquired images is adequate for interpretation by radiologists
• Maintains clinical competency pertinent to Computed Tomographic procedures
• Proficient in the use of the power injector
• Proficient in 3D reconstruction
• Assures work areas are clean and stocked appropriately
• Maintains departmental records and Q.A. testing
• Maintains clinical competency pertinent to Computed tomography procedures
• Proficiency in navigating PACS system to perform Quality Control, and ensure the integrity of acquired images
• Proficient in the management of patient information via the Radiology Information System
• Performs other job duties as required

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

NYSDOH Licensed; ARRT Certification; BLS Required; Registered CT tech preferred

Education: Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program

Experience: Previous experience in CT preferred

The range for this position is $ per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
