Principal Software EngineerBedford, MA (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)Our client is a global medical device manufacturer.

The company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead and drive the application development for their blood analyzers.

The ideal candidate is a C++ expert with the ability to technically guide junior developers, drive requirements/specifications, and create design documents.

This role with be 30-40% hands on the key board development. It is a plus to have Qt and QML background as well.


Experience:
10+ years of related experience in C++-focused product development

ssembly, Java, C#, etc beneficialPreferred:

Experience with Qt and/or QMLResponsibilities:
Provides software technical leadership in requirements review, design reviews, code reviews, test case reviews, and team meetings.
Driving project development including change control, defect management, risk analysis, and release management.
Creates/Maintains software documentation including requirement/functional specifications, architecture and component designPerforms unit testing and/or code reviews as per project policy.

Performs integration testing to ensure software functions within application and with electrical and mechanical devicesEvaluates, investigates, and implements fixes to assigned software defects and assigned software change proposals.
