Job Summary

The position requires a self-motivated individual that can take a senior role in the implementation of formal test strategies by the team.

Applies specialized business knowledge, testing experience and technical skills to significant projects that involve multiple IT departments and business units.

Reviews functional requirements and uses business and technical knowledge to analyze and develop software test plans and test cases. Performs testing for application development projects and where appropriate, technology infrastructure projects. Demonstrates subject matter expertise and is able to integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of standards and practices. Is the primary on the most complex or escalated issues and may provide direction and guidance team members. Is able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Testing of GEIB Applications (in-house and home-grown applications) in an Angular, .NET, Oracle and SQL Server environment.
Create test plans
Make recommendations towards the development of new testing opportunities.
Leads or participates in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities.
Remains current with new technologies.
Participates in software system testing and validation procedures and documentation.
Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Collaborates with project teams to understand project architecture and business requirements to devise a performance test strategy and test plans.

Creates and executes load and performance tests.
Analyzes statistical results for baselines, trends, and anomalies to facilitate problem solving, performance improvements, and reporting.


Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of

Knowledge of automation tools:
Katalon , Python, Playwright.
Familiar with Postman and SOAP UI
Knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle
Familiar with Azure DevOps for test cases and requirements.
Familiar with high level design, operating characteristics and test points of multi-tiered, web-based application is preferred.

Skill in

SQL querying skills for data testing
Organizational skills particularly to understand interactions between applications and how those interactions affect testing.
High level of proficiency with tools like MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Ability to gain the business knowledge and build stakeholder realtionships necessary to perform their job duties.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Education/Previous Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience including software testing, leading project test efforts, development of formal test strategies, and business and technical acumen or combination of education, training and experience.
