    Description
    Respiratory Therapy
    PRN Night shift: 12 hour shifts *6:00pm-6:00am**NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
    * *Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of Alabama** *Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.

    • Is responsible for the administration of all Respiratory Care modalities on all age groups of patients from neonate through geriatric.
    • Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
    • Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
    • Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.
    • Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.
    • Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
