Chelmsford, MASalary : $70 - 80KReports to : Product Design Engineer ManagerSummary :The design engineer is responsible for the research and design of a companys new products and systems.
They will perform various tasks in an engineering department including drafting blueprints, creating test prototypes, and overseeing the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities :
The creation of concepts and detailed designs for assemblies and devices and thefor the realization of necessary construction and production documentsBOMs, Subassemblies and detail drawingsConducting Kick-Off and Design Review MeetingsThe documentation of the design with regard to the traceability of detail solution findingThe creation of designs and specifications of new partsEditing changesThe support of sales in the preparation of quotationsDevelopment departmentResponsible for change requests also handling and documentation in SAP (ECR)
Define specifications for purchased partsFull support of production SNAQualifications and Skills :
Bachelors degree in engineeringThe job holder must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Advanced design skillsProduct-focused creative thinkingIn-depth knowledge of industry design principlesStrong working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) or engineering softwareImpeccable attention to detailExcellent problem-solving skillsGood project management skillsExcellent time management and prioritization skillsEffective oral and written communicationGreat leadership skills
