    The Possible Zone

    Boston, MA

    Full Time/Exempt

    The Possible Zone (TPZ), a non-profit organization, is in search of an Educator Advisor to guide students through TPZ's Entrepreneurship program and involve them in focused college-career readiness with our Pathways Advisor. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching high school students in groups and interacting with young adults.

    About The Possible Zone:

    What if all young individuals could pursue their aspirations? What if they had the chance to create and launch a business or social venture they are passionate about? Imagine if they understood the roles of various professionals like entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, data scientists, marketing executives, and more. What if they could intern in these positions while still in high school? At The Possible Zone, we believe in the power of imagination and creativity without boundaries. We strive to provide a platform for students to explore their potential and foster a mindset where everything is achievable.

    TPZ, an eleven-year-old organization, has positively impacted over 1,000 students by offering programs, internships, and advisory services during high school to promote economic equity. As we expand in Boston, our programs aim to build a community ecosystem involving students, parents, schools, corporations, entrepreneurs, and educational institutions. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion drives our mission towards creating opportunities for student success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage learners in Entrepreneurship and Advisory experiences
    • Cultivate a supportive learning community
    • Collaborate with team members for program development
    • Contribute to curriculum design
    • Track student progress and use data for continuous improvement
    • Engage external volunteers in program events
    • Participate in professional development sessions

    A successful first year will involve effectively managing students, gaining proficiency in makerspace tools, and collaborating with various departments.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience working with high school students
    • Experience in culturally-responsive and project-based teaching approaches
    • Expertise in Entrepreneurship, Business, or STEAM disciplines
    • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to diversity

    Compensation & Benefits:

    The Possible Zone offers competitive compensation including high-quality health benefits and a 401(k) contribution.

    $80K - $85K depending on experience
