- Identifying and recruiting patients to participate in research
- Attending patient appointments and procedures to collect research samples and data
- Processing, storage, and management of biospecimens from study participants
- Maintenance of regulatory documentation for all study participants
- Medical chart review and data abstraction
- Study and protocol coordination, revision, and development
- Shared housekeeping tasks such as ordering supplies and scheduling meetings
- Maintain research data, patient fields, regulatory binders and study databases
- Perform data analysis and QA/QC data checks
- Organize and interpret data
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies
- Act as a study resource for patient and family

- New graduates with some relevant course/project work or those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Clinical Research Coordinator I position outlined above.
- Those with a minimum of 1-2 years of directly related work experience will be considered for a Clinical Research Coordinator II position.
- A Clinical Research Coordinator I does not have any supervisory responsibility.
- A Clinical Research Coordinator II may assist with the training and orientation of new staff members.

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Drs.
Hamed Khalili and Tracey Simon of the Massachusetts General Hospital Gastrointestinal Unit are in search of a Clinical Research Coordinator to work on the NIH Nutrition for Precision Health (NPH) study and research involving patients with liver diseases.
We seek to better understand the environmental risk factors, particularly dietary, reproductive, and lifestyle factors, in the development of a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, primarily including inflammatory bowel disease and cirrhosis.
Drs.Khalili and Simon's research group includes a Clinical Research Project Manager and Clinical Research Coordinators who will be available for assistance, education, and guidance.
