    Psychiatrist - Interventional Psychiatry (Spravato & TMS) - Full-Time or Part-Time

    Metro Psychiatry / Optimum TMS is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Psychiatrist to join our innovative team in Columbus, OH. This unique role offers the opportunity to lead and expand our practice's reach, focusing on cutting-edge treatments for mental health conditions. Unlike traditional roles, this position encourages thinking beyond conventional methodologies to embrace interventional psychiatric treatments, including Spravato (esketamine) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

    Compensation: Starting at $125 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, 401k with match, and generous PTO. Our medium-sized, physician-owned practice provides ample support staff, ensuring a balanced work environment. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, with weekends and holidays off. No on-call responsibilities.

    Role Overview:

    As a Psychiatrist in our team, you will:

    • Conduct 1-hour consultations for Spravato and TMS patients, focusing on those with treatment-resistant depression.
    • Perform oversight of Spravato therapy and/or TMS therapy sessions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
    • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing support.
    • Educate patients and their families about treatment options, potential benefits, and risks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Treatment Administration and Monitoring: Oversee the administration of Spravato, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and monitoring for side effects. Provide clinical oversight to technicians during TMS and Spravato sessions.
    • Patient Support: Offer psychoeducation and counseling to support patients and families throughout the treatment process.
    • Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives to enhance patient care and stay abreast of advancements in interventional psychiatry.

    Qualifications:

    • MD or DO with a specialization in Psychiatry, licensed to practice in Ohio.
    • Experience in a mental health setting, with a preference for those skilled in interventional psychiatric treatments.
    • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
    • Proficiency in EMR systems.

    Experience and Training:

    • Specialty certification in Psychiatry preferred.
    • Comprehensive training in Spravato and TMS therapies provided.
