    New School Year Occupational Therapist (OT) Oroville, California

    • Position Type: Full-time, Contract
    • Term: August 12, 2024-June 6, 2025
    • Hours: Full-Time

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor skills, and activities of daily living
    • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings, IEPs, and input from parents and teachers
    • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups, to address identified needs and goals
    • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals and strategies into students' educational programs
    • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding classroom accommodations, modifications, and sensory strategies to support student success
    • Monitor and document student progress, and adjust therapy plans as needed to address changing needs and goals
    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for support at home

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
    • Valid California license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
    • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
    • Knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy, including sensory integration, fine motor development, and assistive technology
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
