    Position Title: Family Advocate

    No experience or education is required, training will be provided. This position does require a valid drivers license.

    Summary: The Family Advocate role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals and their families by providing crucial support for their well-being. No prior experience or education is required, as paid training will be provided. As a Family Advocate, you will assess families' needs and facilitate their access to social and community resources and benefits. These programs encompass initiatives such as Visitation Coaching, Family Based Services, and Transportation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessments of families to identify their specific needs and challenges.
    • Collaborate with DPHHS-CFSD to design, organize, and lead programs targeting various aspects of family well-being.
    • Assist families in accessing necessary social and community resources, both formal and informal.
    • Employ logical reasoning to analyze problems and identify effective solutions and approaches.
    • Communicate effectively through written and verbal means, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
    • Utilize accelerated computer skills with a focus on the G Suite platform.
    • Demonstrate a proactive approach to aiding both staff and clients in accessing resources.
    • Prioritize tasks, set achievable goals, and formulate organized plans to accomplish work duties.
    • Fulfill any additional responsibilities deemed essential by the Team Manager or other members of Management.

    Qualifications:

    • Solid computer skills, particularly in using the G Suite platform.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of different solutions.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective information exchange.
    • Capacity to gather information from diverse sources, process it effectively, and make informed decisions.
    • Proven organizational abilities, with the capability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and execute plans efficiently.
    • A desire to serve our community with a servant leadership approach
