MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN
Location: Mooresville, NC Pay: Starting at $18.50/hour. $2.00/hour increase upon qualification in Quality department, with additional $2.00/hour increase upon qualification in Machine Room.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Manufacturing Technician supports post-processing, finishing, inspection, and production of 3D printed parts to meet strict customer and quality standards. This full-time, hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and pride in craftsmanship, with compensation growth tied to performance and skill development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Clean, finish, sand, and separate 3D printed parts using blasting equipment and hand tools
• Inspect parts to visual and dimensional standards; verify counts and complete documentation
• Use calipers, gage pins, and height gages for quality verification
• Plan and prepare production builds for large-format 3D printers
• Prepare and track materials, including recipes and batch documentation
• Operate, monitor, clean, and assist with maintenance of printing equipment
• Maintain organized work areas; support dust control, FOD prevention, and material disposal
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to meet production goals
WORK ENVIRONMENT Active manufacturing setting requiring repetitive finishing tasks, extended focus, lifting up to 50 lbs., PPE compliance, and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work during peak production.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years manufacturing experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with calipers, gage pins, and height gages
• Mechanical aptitude around industrial equipment
• Laser Sintering or DMLS experience preferred
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR compliance)
