We use state of the art 3D metal alloy printing techniques to rapidly design, manufacture, and test new engine designs in our purpose-built propulsion test facility.
With over a decade of experience testing rocket engines, and engineers who have worked at industry leaders like Blue Origin, SpaceX, NASA, and Rocketdyne, we are a rapidly growing company with many exciting Defense, Civil and Commercial programs.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who is responsible for delivering high quality hardware with stringent requirements through design, prototyping, development, and production.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for aerospace components, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct process capability assessments and risk analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation such as process instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to monitor and analyze manufacturing performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Champion initiatives related to automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Maintain a culture that values the input of technicians and machinists, ensuring their voices are heard in the design process.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001).
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) systems.
Preferred skills and experience:
Manufacturing, with a proven track record of leading manufacturing process development and improvement initiatives
Design and use of assembly and gaging fixtures
GD&T
Development and deployment of automated manufacturing systems
Familiarity with ERP/MRP
Familiarity with CAM software
High-rate manufacturing
Familiarity with hazardous materials and associated safeguards
