Overview

Bowhead is looking for a Senior Computer Netowrk Artchiect to support the PMA 268 contract (Proposal) at Patuxent River, MD

Responsibilities

Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LAN, Wide Area Networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.

Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.

Design network and computer security measures.

Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.

Qualifications

Required: MA/MS degree.

Required: ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.

Allowable Substitutions:Bachelors degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a masters degree. OR Associate degree plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Masters Degree. OR Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a masters degree.

Must be able to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits, and solve complex problems.

Desired:At least four (4) years of enterprise architecture experience.

Experience creating Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts and mapping data requirements to Logistics Information Technology systems.

Experience with NMCI network setups, Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Baseline, Portable Electronic Maintenance Aides (PEMAs), and the NAVAIR Programs of Record.

Must posess communication skills, writing skills and be detail oriented.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
