    Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Technical Publication IT Support Technician at a corporate partner's facility in Cincinnati, Ohio
    The primary function of this role is to provide technical support and assistance to the technical publication team, including technical writers, flight manual writers, and technical publication specialists
    The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, maintaining document management systems and software, and ensuring smooth operations of the technical publication process

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide technical support and assistance to the technical publication team, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
    • Maintain and manage document management systems used by the technical publication team, ensuring proper organization, storage, and retrieval of technical documents, flight manuals, and other related materials.
    • Install, configure, and update software applications used in the technical publication process, such as XML authoring tools, graphics and illustration software, collaboration and review tools, and version control systems.
    • Assist in maintaining and managing the IT infrastructure required for technical publication, including servers, networks, and storage systems, to ensure smooth operations and data security.
    • Provide training and support to technical writers, flight manual writers, and technical publication specialists on the use of document management systems, software applications, and IT tools relevant to their roles.
    • Identify and resolve technical issues related to document management systems, software applications, and IT tools used in the technical publication process
    Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical writers, flight manual writers, and technical publication specialists, to ensure seamless integration of IT support into the technical publication workflow.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

    • Must be US Citizen
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
    May be substituted with 6 years relevant experience for this position.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting in an IT environment.
    • Familiarity with document management systems, XML authoring tools, graphics and illustration software, collaboration and review tools, and version control systems used in technical publication.
    • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and server administration.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
    • Familiarity with technical writing or flight manual writing processes.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including FAA Regulations, ICAO Standards, OEM Specifications, and Military Standards and Specifications.

    Working Conditions:

    • This position may require occasional travel to various facilities for on-site support.
