    Hirschmann Car Communication, based in Neckartenzlingen, near Stuttgart/Germany, is one of the leading specialists for transmission and receiver systems in mobile communication. Our portfolio of innovative solutions includes antenna, tuner and infotainment systems with radio modules and smart devices for the automotive and commercial vehicle industry as well as customised M2M and telematics solutions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Setup and manage external logistic provider (3PL) to handle all North America product shipments. Use SAP/R3 Warehouse Management System.

    · Oversee all transport logistics topics (inbound, outbound).

    · Communicate close with logistics companies / forwarders to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipment.

    · Monitor in-transit shipments and ETAs and coordinate/expedite deliveries.

    · Coordinate import/export documentation.

    · Create and organize shipping documents for prototype deliveries.

    · Coordinate and ensure customer specific shipping requirements with 3rd party logistics provider.

    · Continuous monitoring and optimization of transport flows.

    · Monitor cost of 3rd party distribution service and warehousing.

    · Control premium freights.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    · Successful completion of commercial training or a comparable qualification.

    · At least 3 years of comprehensive experience in industrial logistics area preferably in the automotive supply industry.

    · Awareness of importance of on-time delivery in automotive industry.

    · Skills to balance between on-time delivery to customers, managing inventories, and limiting expediting cost.

    · Ability to work independently and deal with common office applications. SAP knowledge preferred.

    · Good communication skills.
