    Description

    As a professional Estimator at our company, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our capabilities for various construction projects, whether they are design-bid-build or design-build. You will be a vital team member dedicated to devising creative and innovative solutions to construction challenges, contributing to the acquisition of profitable work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior while representing the Company.
    • Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
    • Conduct estimations for multi-discipline projects, including scope determinations and precise quantity surveys.
    • Request quotes from Subcontractors and/or Vendors, and assess them for compatibility.
    • Lead meetings with Subcontractors to establish comprehensive scopes and discuss strategic approaches.
    • Handle risk and contract management duties as necessary during bidding processes.
    • Aid in devising strategies to meet minority participation requirements.
    • Review the total estimate to ensure its accuracy and completeness before finalizing quotations.
    • Track and compare estimated costs with actual expenses.
    • Research and advocate for continuous improvement by developing more efficient estimating methods.
    • Visit construction sites to identify any extraordinary or complex conditions.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree is advantageous but not mandatory. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, particularly as a commercial construction estimator with a focus on preconstruction estimating.
    • Demonstrate passion for the profession, a commitment to securing projects, and readiness to take ownership of work.
    • Field experience is beneficial.
    • Show the ability to lead or collaborate within a team across multiple projects and endeavors.
    • An undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
    • Familiarity with computers, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to handle concurrent tasks.
    • Detail-oriented mindset, technical proficiency, and strong communication abilities are essential.
    • Knowledge of both conceptual and self-perform estimating.
