The Industrial Mechanic I is an entry level position. Employee must possess the desire and ability to learn to rebuild and repair all plant equipment supplied to our customer base. The Industrial Mechanic's role is to ensure successful maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of plant machinery and as well as supporting special projects within the plant. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
a. Required: High school education with 1-3 or more years-experience in industrial maintenance, automotive, or powersports background. Preferred: Associate degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial maintenance and 0-1 years-experience in industrial maintenance or equipment building.
b. Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough. A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude, who is cautiously assertive.
c. Ability to modulate with a dynamic workload: From heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads -to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects
d. Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are required.
e. Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
f. Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
g. Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
h. Exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of individuals and overall projects.
i. Work ethics that complement Ivarson's long-standing culture of high integrity throughout all areas of internal and external business activity.
k. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
l. Competent with computer software such as, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
m. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems a plus but not required.
