    The Main Purpose of the Role:

    The successful candidate could work as a key member of the Maintenance, Technology, or Reliability Teams providing day-to-day technical service, completing small design projects for repair and/or replacement of electrical equipment and instrumentation, and serving on teams to address electrical equipment reliability, safety, and design initiatives.
    Responsibilities AND Accountabilities
    • Day-to-day interface with operations, maintenance, technology, reliability team and construction personnel to troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure safe and reliable operations. This function includes issuing authorization for equipment, control valve sizing, electrical design, and instrumentation and control design.
    • Issue instrument and electrical packages to complete repair to damaged equipment (e.g., motor controls, conduit, cabling, power supply and voltage, electrical switch gear etc.)
    • Project activities include scoping and prioritization, preliminary and detailed electrical systems, equipment, and control systems instrumentation designs from field to DCS systems, start-up support, post audit evaluations and completion of proper documentation.
    • Ability to learn how to use the codes and specification, working with CAD and electrical designers, Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change process, and Capital Value Process (CVP).
    • Participate on safety studies including HAZOP studies, Process Hazard analysis (PHA), and drive the Management of Change (MOC) process on small capital and expense jobs.
    • Provide estimates and designs for small capital jobs. Serve as lead engineer for the implementation of small project and expense jobs.
    • Participate as a member of certain large capital and new technology groups as part of the optimization and improvement of the operating processes.
    • Serve as a supporting engineer during turnarounds.
    • The position is accountable for understanding and putting into practice the INEOS 20 Principles.
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
    Skills & Knowledge Required
    Education/Experience
    Level of Education & Experience in general
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university by December 2023 or May 2024
    • 3.0 or greater G.P.A. out of 4.0 is required.
    Preferred experience includes:
    • Plant experience during cooperative education or summer internships is preferred.
    • Knowledge of electrical equipment including motor controls, electrical systems, load flow, arc flash, and other electrical system studies.
    • Ability to troubleshoot motor controls through 4160 volts
    • Sizing conduits, cables for motors, MCCs, feeders, etc.
    • Prior work with outside vendors on coordination, load flow, arc flash and other studies related to the plant electrical system
    • Knowledge of instrumentation design (temperature, pressure, flow, control valves) from field to DCS systems.
    • Experience with Triconex PLCs is a plus
    • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation loops from field to DCS systems
    • Design and programming of control and interlock systems
    • Sizing and selection of instruments and control valves
