    DCS Resident Service Technician

    In this position, you will provide technical support for PAPI P&P Service, Process Automation Process Industries (PAPI) in Cottonton, Alabama, delivering superior, professional service, remotely (within 1 hour of location) or on site.

    As a Resident DCS (Distributed Control System​) Service Technician you will be required to work independently and as part of a team based on customer/contract requirements.

    This position reports to

    Operations Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • DCS Systems Maintenance
    • Configuration and Process Control
    • Resource shall have exceptional troubleshooting skills to resolve most problems

    Your background

    • Associate degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of related work/military experience required or High School diploma/GED and 4 years of related work/military experience required
    • Commitment to excellence, problem solving, teamwork, technical orientation, analytical, customer orientation, professional attitude
    • Good communications skills are a must
    • Technical skills will be considered the foundation of this position to deliver contract services, provide sales support and opportunities for revenue growth
    • This position will be focused on the Harmony DCS; Symphony Plus experience also helpful
    • A good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking and Cyber Security is a plus
    • This person will need to be self motivated and self directed to accommodate the numerous customer responsibilities
    • This a resident position, travel would be minimal
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

    While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $74,900 and $139,100 annually.
