Job Summary

Geisinger offers a Foodservice Worker a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, with a minimum hiring rate of $15.00 and enhanced rates for experienced individuals. Additionally, there is a $2 shift differential for evening, nights, and weekend shifts where applicable.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include tasks such as portioning and serving food, cleaning tableware, equipment, and work areas. Compliance with special cleaning and trash handling techniques mandated by regulatory bodies is essential. The role demands a professional Service Standard be maintained throughout.

• Foodservice Workers will undertake a variety of tasks within the foodservice area, including food preparation, packaging, and deliveries.
• Sanitizing food service areas, following required protocols set by management and regulatory bodies.
• Monitoring food and food storage temperatures, storing food trays appropriately, as well as measuring ingredients and handling cash transactions when necessary.
• Reading and interpreting patient meal tickets, confirming patient identifiers, and following recipes and labeling guidelines.​
