Job Requirements
Minimum
3 years of recent
ICU nursing experience
required — proven experience as a critical care nurse
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Current, valid, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory)
Current
BLS
and
ACLS
certifications (American Heart Association)
PALS
(AHA),
TCAR , and
NIHSS
certifications required within 6 months of hire
Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED), Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), or Pediatrics as needed
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and independent decision-making skills — ideal for intensive care RN roles
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages in a 5-bed
ICU
Continuously assess, monitor, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, manage advanced medical equipment, and perform complex nursing procedures
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
Float to the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics units as census requires
Provide after-hours recovery care for post-op general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
Document care accurately and communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members
