Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer at Hilton Buena Park

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment as assigned. He/she also handles guest requests, participates in the preventative maintenance program, and performs trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc. In some cases, driving the shuttle van may be required (property specific).

Responsibilities:

Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Perform tasks such as changing light bulbs, performing preventative maintenance for guest rooms, ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, swimming pool, and hot tub.
Conduct plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, preventative maintenance on exhaust fans, monitor energy conservation, and handle other small equipment repairs.
Respond immediately to alarms, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
Complete other assigned tasks/jobs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
Valid driver's license for the applicable state required (property specific).
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (property specific).
Basic knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repairs, painting, HVAC systems.
Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changes.
Knowledge of safety management principles, federal and state OSHA regulations.
