    Your role in our mission

    • Performs prospective and retrospective drug utilization reviews for State beneficiaries.
    • Issues prior authorization according to established protocols.
    • Handles inbound call volume from pharmacy providers and prescribers and documents all calls accurately.
    • Interacts with prescribers when necessary to resolve clinical drug-related problems (DRPs).
    • Interact with appropriate team leads to refer unresolved DRPs.
    • Reviews incoming medical necessity forms (MNFs) and utilizes clinical knowledge to ensure therapy is deemed appropriate.
    • Provide follow-ups on any pending letters that require additional details /information needed from providers or prescribers.

    What we're looking for

    • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficient PC abilities (basic knowledge of Microsoft office), work organization, and problem-resolution skills.
    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers.
    • Ability to maintain attendance to support the required quality and quantity of work.
    • Ability to abide by Gainwell policies.
    • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD
    • Required 2 years' Pharmacist experience from New Jersey
    • Active licensed NJ Pharmacist for the past 2 years

    What you should expect in this role

    • Monday-Friday, standard business hours
    • Fully remote opportunity
    • Able to work on call during off hours on a rotational schedule

    The pay range for this position is $92, $105,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
