Qualifications:

Current Nursing License from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
Experience is desired but not obligatory.
Ability to supervise and provide nursing care is crucial.
Must possess traits of empathy, patience, and tact when dealing with clients and their families.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Adherence to HIPPA and CIL confidentiality guidelines.
Solid commitment to the CIL mission statement.

Essential Functions:

Client assessment – gather nursing data through observation, interviews, and data collection.
Prioritize nursing actions based on client needs and develop care plans considering various factors.
Regularly evaluate client conditions.
Accurately document any changes or incidents regarding clients.
Coordinate with physicians regarding client requirements.
Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
Handle emergencies efficiently and effectively.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
Ensure organized storage of supplies and equipment necessary for client care.
Regular client visits in CIL homes for addressing issues/illnesses/concerns.

Physical Requirements:

Proficient in English communication verbally and in writing with staff, client families, and external contacts.
Capable of standing, walking, sitting, using hands, lifting items, and utilizing a computer for extended periods.
Able to handle light objects and transfer clients with assistance when needed.
Comfortable working in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and moderate noise levels.
Possesses necessary physical abilities for client assessment, equipment maintenance, and continuous communication.

Other Responsibilities:

Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Support new team members in their orientation and training.
Maintain a positive and cooperative relationship with colleagues.
