    Job Summary:

    The Legal Division's mission is to provide professional, high-quality legal representation to the Corporation Commission in the performance of its powers and duties. Matters handled are Commission dockets, federal regulatory dockets, litigation, and administrative and special projects. We have an opportunity for a legal intern for the summer.

    Job Duties:

    The intern will be expected to provide assistance in a wide variety of areas including, administrative law, utilities, securities and corporate law, research for pleadings, drafting pleadings, collecting information to assist attorney's on rate cases and other cases pending before the Commission, performing responsible and complex legal research and providing the results in well written memoranda and legal briefs.

    Interns who meet the requirements under Supreme Court Rule 38 may also be expected to participate in administrative hearings, including offering witnesses and performing cross examination.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

    This opportunity is open to all current law students or recent graduations with a passing grade point average.
