    This is an onsite position located in Melbourne, FL (Relocation required)
    POSITION SUMMARY
    Supervises and manages the Manufacturing Engineering department. Responsible for providing technical leadership and support to the assembly team in the assembly, testing, painting, and delivery of Embraer Executive Jets.
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Supervises the planning and establishing of engineering schedules and following up performance against estimates.
    • Create assembly process planning, provide support to production activities and coordinate implementation of product changes, improvement projects, and preventive/corrective actions.
    • Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
    • Provides engineering support for troubleshooting and resolving technical problems in the production line coordinating the necessary actions with relevant areas.
    • Analyzes manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
    • Oversees and approves the creation and implementation procedures required to assemble and test products.
    • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with Embraer and regulatory requirements.
    • Provides guidance to the production team and quality regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
    • Develops and implements technical training for the Manufacturing Engineers and Production Planners.
    • Contacts with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
    • Oversees the successful implementation of major projects and programs for the corporation and organization from a manufacturing engineering perspective.
    • Must be proficient with MES, MS Office, and other computer software tools for developing reports and supervising the department.
    • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
    • Manage the tooling and tools assigned to production.
    • Interact with customers and customer support personnel.
    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Education:
    • Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
    • Master's degree in a manufacturing related engineering field is an added advantage.
    • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of related experience working in Manufacturing Engineering in an environment of aircraft production.
    • Demonstrated experience in a team leader or supervisory role.
    • Knowledge:
      • Must possess a complete technical understanding and application knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and tools.
      • Aircraft and product configuration management.
      Skills:
      • Supervisory Experience.
      • Customer service skills.
      • Experience in Aircraft assembly process.
      • Experience in the utilization of Lean Concepts.
      • Proficiency in the use of MES, CATIA, SAP, and Primavera Scheduling systems.
      • Strong written and verbal communication.
      • Work in a safe professional manner adhering to Company Standards and all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.

      • Working Conditions/Environment/Special Requirements
        • Authorized to work in the
        • Foreign travel may be required, Ability to obtain a Passport and a Brazilian Visa.
        • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
        • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
