    DESCRIPTION

    We are a privately held industrial electrical, instrumentation, and controls company offering engineering, construction and maintenance services. Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we have grown to employ over 2,500 people primarily in the southern region of the United States. We service the chemical processing, petrochemical, refining, power, and pulp paper industries.

    SUMMARY

    The position is responsible for assisting in the recording, reconciling, and reporting of Company financial data while applying appropriate accounting principles to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

    RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliation schedules


    • Complete monthly bank reconciliations


    • Review of general ledger accounts and preparation of journal entries


    • Assist with monthly closing and financial statement preparation


    • Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger


    • Assist with preparation of monthly forecast


    • Provide support in budget preparation


    • Assist with data collection and analysis


    • Company license renewals


    • Interdepartmental support


    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS


    • Education: Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance required


    • Experience: 0-3 years in corporate accounting, public accounting, or internship required


    • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles


    • Construction accounting experience a plus


    • Intermediate ERP skills - Viewpoint Vista a plus


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products - Intermediate level required
