- Wellness programs
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and other laboratory research personnel to meet research objectives.
- Perform molecular biology experiments; vector generation, transgenic and knockout mouse lines, RNA and DNA analyses.
- Perform biochemical experiments; spectrophotometry, protein analyses, fluorescence-based techniques, flow cytometry.
- Perform bioinformatic data analysis (RNASeq, CLIPSeq and NGS technologies).
- Perform mitochondrial analyses of function, structure and dynamics.
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication.
- Develop new research proposals for funding agencies.
- Share research findings and make presentations at scientific conferences.
- PhD degree in physiology, molecular/cell biology, genetics, biochemistry or a related field;
- Strong self-motivation, solid basic science training background
- Experience with hypothesis-driven research
- Good written and oral scientific communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience with animal models and multi-omics analysis are highly desirable.
- Preference will be given to those who have expertise in metabolism, mitochondria and/or bioinformatics.
