$20-$22/hr DOELocation: San Diego, CASchedule: Part Time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays 8am-5pm
diploma in Medical Assistant preferredDuties: Answer patient questions and answering phone call with excellent customer service Insurance verifications and prior authorizations Provide exceptional customer service to patients needing office and surgical appointments Check patient eligibility and collect co-pays and deductibles Obtain prior authorizations for office visits, procedures and medication Enter all information into EMR system in a timely manner Position Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures Working knowledge of healthcare insurance is a must Excellent organizational and time-management skills Outstanding communication, interpersonal skillsHALO Staffing Group works with the largest and best hospital systems and offers top-pay and full benefits. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required.

Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
