    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Basic knowledge of trades to understand repair problems.
    • General knowledge of power tools.
    • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the club.
    • Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and pool pumps.
    • Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club's PM procedures.
    • Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls and paves brick.
    • Completes other appropriate assignments as assigned.
    Education/Qualifications/Certifications
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in electrical engineering, HVAC or refrigeration desirable.
    • One year maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
    • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
    • Basic knowledge of trades to understand repair problems.
    • General knowledge of power tools.
    Position Physical Requirements

    Must have the ability to:
    • Read and write (English)
    • Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios.
    • Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
    • Visually inspect all work areas
    • Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time
    • Perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
    • Retrieve, read and interpret information from technical sources
    • Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
    • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
    • Frequent repetitive motions.
    • Continuous standing and walking.
    • Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
    • Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
    Working Conditions

    Work hours may include mornings, days and evenings on weekdays and weekends, as well as holidays. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to inclement weather, potentially dangerous chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, misdirected golf balls, sharp and rapid equipment movement on a daily basis. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
