    Solutions Architect

    Hybrid Role Downtown NYC 3 days/week

    $130-160k base + bonus

    Our client, an investment manager, is looking for an OMS Solutions Architect to join their team.

    Job Description: Solutions Architect is a key member of their 4-person solutions architecture team responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining critical technologies used in business processes. This individual will have the unique opportunity to work with business stakeholders across all teams within the firm. They will play an integral role in the continued progression and modernization of Enterprise Data Management, Automation and Reporting initiatives.

    Duties and Responsibilities of Solutions Architect:

    • Work with Business Stakeholders, vendors and other technical teams to design, implement and maintain technical components of business processes.
    • Participate as an individual contributor or technical lead on projects relating to a wide variety of business functions.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot/remediate issues with both internally developed and vendor packaged solutions.
    • Utilize and perform various phases of the software development life cycle, including: requirements gathering and analysis, preparation of technical specifications, process modeling, and design & build
    • Maintaining proper Enterprise Data Management
    • Represent technology team as Subject Matter Expert working with outsourced developers for corporate website hosted on SharePoint.
    • Keep up with current technology trends and propose appropriate solution recommendations.
    • Keep up with External regulations and Internal Policies that impact Architecture Practices.

    Qualifications of Solutions Architect:

    • 8+ years' experience implementing IT solutions in the Asset Management industry.
    • Experience with portfolio management, trading and market data concepts (portfolios, holdings, trades, securities, performance, benchmarks, etc.).
    • Experience with back and middle office business processes in the asset management industry (e.g. Fund accounting and administration, Custody, Portfolio Accounting, trade administration, etc).
    • Expert in Microsoft SQL; specializing in stored procedures, sophisticated query design, database structure design, data warehousing and reporting services.
    • Experience with Azure SQL architecture highly desired.
    • Experience with Power BI, Power App, SSIS, Entity Framework, Rest APIs, Windows Communication Foundation (ODATA).
    • Experience designing and developing modern SharePoint environments
    • Experience designing and implementing ETL orchestration and workflow automation systems, preferably ActiveBatch.
    • Experience with knowledge of workflows between Order Management, Execution Management, Portfolio Accounting and Mutual Fund Accounting systems.
    • Experience with Eagle and Charles River Investment Management System preferred
    • Experience with Marketing Automation platforms, preferably Seismic
    • Working knowledge of ASP.NET, MVC, web API, JSON, Java Script and AJAX technologies
    • Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
    • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
