Description
Medstar Radiology Network at Lafayette Center is currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join and energetic, patient-focused team Are you passionate about patient care? Come and join our team as a Sonographer for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging center located in Washington, DC.
This position is needed to primarily cover Breast Ultrasound from 8am-4pm on Saturdays, there may also be some weekday shift opportunities.
Apply for immediate considerationUnder the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the Sonographer:
May serve as a lead technologist/team captain for a designated shift.
Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Must be a graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography.
Must be registered or registry eligible through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or ARRT (S). Skill in operation of Sonography equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
Imaging studies are an essential component of preventative care and treatment, and having the best diagnostic equipment possible is a vital step to good preventive health for our patients.
